RB Services Ltd

Terms and Conditions of Service

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by RB (Services) Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the customer (“you”, “the customer”)

1.  Agreement

A contract is formed once a quotation is accepted by email, in writing, or by confirmation of a booking date.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by RB (Services) Ltd, whether on a one-off basis, under a recurring arrangement, or pursuant to a longer-term agreement, unless expressly varied in writing.

These Terms and Conditions shall take precedence over any terms or conditions provided by the customer unless expressly agreed in writing by RB (Services) Ltd.

Where services are provided under a separate written contract, service agreement, or schedule of works, those terms shall apply in addition to these Terms and, where stated, shall take precedence.

2.  Services

We provide services including, but not limited to:

  • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing)
  • Electrical inspection and testing
  • Fire extinguisher servicing
  • Emergency lighting and fire alarm testing

All services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill in accordance with industry standards and best practice.

3.  Access and Customer Responsibilities

The customer must ensure safe and unrestricted access to the site, equipment, and relevant electrical systems at the agreed date and time.

Any dates or times provided are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise. Delays caused by lack of access, site readiness, shutdown availability, or incomplete information may result in additional charges or a return visit fee.

4.  Fees and Payment

Prices are based on the information provided prior to the visit.

Additional items, remedial works, or parts identified on site will be charged separately.

Invoices are payable within 30 days unless otherwise agreed.

Reports and certification will be issued once full payment has been received.

Late payments may be charged interest in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5.  Cancellations and Rescheduling

Bookings are reserved specifically for your site.

Cancellations or requests to reschedule made more than 7 days before the agreed booking date: no charge.

Cancellations or requests to reschedule made within 7 days of the agreed booking date:

  • Where a site attendance or minimum site fee has been quoted, that fee will be applied.
  • Where no site attendance or minimum site fee has been quoted, a reasonable charge will be applied to reflect the loss of work and engineer time reserved, where replacement work cannot be arranged at short notice.

6.  Reports and Certification

Inspection reports and certification are normally issued within up to 14 working days, subject to full payment being received.

7.  Subcontracting

RB (Services) Ltd may subcontract services where appropriate. All subcontractors used will be suitably qualified and competent.

8.  Liability and Insurance

RB (Services) Ltd holds appropriate Public Liability Insurance.

Our liability is limited to losses directly arising from our negligence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for pre-existing faults or failures unrelated to the service provided.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9.  Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

10. Data Protection

Customer data is processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and will not be shared with third parties unless required to deliver the service or by law.
